Upper Field Renovation

With dimensions of 420' X 270', this new intramural athletic field is one of the largest infill turf fields in New England, sized to accommodate three football fields, with overlay striping provided for soccer, lacrosse, and softball. The project scope included the design, specification, and detailing of the field, complete with artificial turf, sports lighting, fencing, walkways, and viewing areas. The design meets the requirements of the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as
the criteria for competition established by the NCAA. The overall project budget was approximately $1.5 million, and the field was successfully completed in
the fall of 2002.
