Associates, Inc. completed the design, specification, and detailing of
this NCAA competition Lacrosse and Field Hockey field, including artificial
turf, sports lighting, ornamental fencing, walkways, and scoring/presentation
area. HAI worked with the Athletic Department, coaches, intramural staff,
and Facilities and Planning Departments to identify the preferred artificial
surface and the appropriate detailing for the fences, walls and other
structures that will surround the field. The design meets the requirements
of the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as the criteria
for competition established by the NCAA. The overall project budget was
approximately $1.6 million, and the turf and sports lighting was successfully
completed in the fall of 2002. The balance of all site improvements were
completed in the Spring of 2003.
