Meetinghouse Commons
at Smolak Farm

Huntress Associates Inc. coordinated the site planning and permitting of 88 new homes for the Meetinghouse Commons development, situated on a 30-acre parcel within the 150-acre Smolak Farm, one of North Andover's oldest continually operating farms. At the farm's entrance, the visitor initially encounters townhouses designed to resemble a rambling farmhouse and barn complex. Narrow country roads then continue past the farmhouse, leading into a neighborhood of cottage homes. This project completes the preservation of more than 110 acres of Smolak Farm, ensuring the continued operation of the farm for many future generations. The North Andover Zoning Board of Appeals approved the project as a Comprehensive Permit, and construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2003.
