Pipestave Hill Athletic Fields
West Newbury, Massachusetts

Huntress Associates, Inc. recently completed design, permitting, construction documentation, and administration for three soccer fields and two softball fields at the Mill Pond Conservation Area in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Working with the Pipestave Hill Athletic Field Construction Committee, HAI designed the athletic fields to fit into the character of this rolling agricultural landscape. Project components included topographic and boundary survey, wetland resource and endangered species delineation, athletic program development, schematic design, construction documents, and preliminary construction cost estimates. Construction was successfully completed for approximately $450,000 in the fall of 2002, and the fields are anticipated to come on line in the fall of 2003.
